  • HumaniTV to Launch Suite of Mobile Solutions for Global Impact Organizations through Partnership with 3Seventy, Inc.

    Press Release

    For Immediate Release

HumaniTV to Launch Suite of Mobile Solutions for Global Impact Organizations through Partnership with 3Seventy, Inc.

AUSTIN, TEXAS – September 19, 2013 – HumaniTV Inc, an online firm fostering a better world through better media, today announced plans to launch a comprehensive suite of mobile solutions for global impact organizations, through a strategic partnership with Austin, Texas based 3Seventy, Inc.  Initial offerings will be focused on mobile websites and SMS loyalty and mobilization technologies.

“Equipping global impact organizations with innovative technology and media to save and impact more lives and communities, is the means to our mission,” states Matt Tankersley, HumaniTV CEO. “Mobile technologies like 3Seventy’s new text messaging platform, Vector370, provide us a most effective, quick, and relevant way to further connect HumaniTV viewers with the serving and served of our world. The vast reach and adoption of mobile and text technologies globally has truly exciting implications as we merge our marketplace and mission with these tools.”  “We researched the text messaging technology landscape and quickly gravitated to 3Seventy’s platform.  We believe that it is the most powerful SMS platform in the industry today,” says Ravi Rao, HumaniTV COO. “We have already begun pilots and plan to launch customer self-provisioning portals for mobile websites and SMS loyalty and mobilization in early Q4 of 2013.”

Tankersley recognized the opportunity for mobile communication in outreach while volunteering in Moore following the tornado that devastated the Oklahoma City suburb in May.  “I was repeatedly amazed at peoples’ willingness to help as workers and supplies poured into town.  I met a man from Pittsburg who drove all night to Plaza Towers Elementary with a truck full of water and supplies.  His local radio station shared a tweet that support was needed and he hit the road with supplies from his community.  There were countless stories exactly like that.  The response was incredible but I saw many redundancies and gaps in legacy response process and communication.  Large quantities of relief supplies kept arriving long after there was no further need or room for storage, while many sites, victims and volunteers struggled for resources that unknown to them were mere blocks away.  The immediacy of texting will clearly lead to better coordination of volunteers and supplies.  Mobile solutions for impact organizations can save lives and improve response efficiencies in ways we’ve likely not even discovered yet.”

“At 3Seventy we are dedicated to arming our clients with the best technology in the market,” said Teresa Smetzer, CEO of 3Seventy.  “We also work with clients to develop comprehensive mobile strategies that accomplish measurable objectives.  Through our partnership with HumaniTV we’ve been able to show substantial cost savings and ROIs for a variety of charitable organizations.  In the non-profit sector where resources are scarce, the potential impact of this partnership is massive.”

HumaniTV Set for LIVE Broadcast of April 2013 Rama Indian Outreach with Science Classroom Innovator Exploration Nation

AUSTIN, TEXAS – December 4, 2012 : HumaniTV, an Internet media and services firm promoting sustainability through the eyes of humanitarians and those they serve, today announced they are set for live broadcast of April 2013 Rama Indian outreach with science classroom innovator Exploration Nation.

Following through on the September announcement to partner with Georgetown, Texas based Enzoology Education (branded Exploration Nation), HumaniTV will deliver live broadcasts to schools and viewers globally in conjunction with delivering medical aid and supplies to the Rama Indians of Nicaragua; this following the December 3, 2012 Enzoology Education announcement that they have launched a major crowd-funding initiative to fund the project at http://www.ExplorationNation.com/Contribute

The Rama Indians are a small tribe of indigenous people who live along the Mosquito Coast of Central America. In recent years, the tribe has dwindled to less than 800 people who live on less than twenty-five cents a day.  During the 14 day mission, the young hosts of Exploration Nation will work with EARTH University, various sponsors and the HumaniTV team to assist in a variety of scientific expeditions leading up to delivering supplies and medical support to the Rama people.

Slated for April 2-April 16th, the program will broadcast live each day from the jungles of Central America. This broadcast will be made available on the HumaniTV Medical (medical.humani.tv) & Kids (kids.humani.tv) channels, and to classrooms across the U.S. at www.ExplorationNation.com.

“Our Expedition Central America project pairs three middle school students with Special Forces veterans and a team of surgeons to deliver medical supplies and aid to the Rama Indians of Nicaragua, ” says Enzoology Education CEO, Pete Monfre.  “Beyond producing a series of lesson programs on the expedition, Enzoology Education hopes to connect tens of thousands of kids directly to their Rama counterparts.  This live broadcast is a great way to share the adventure with kids while putting the science in context with the realities of disparate culture and quality of life issues.”

“The Special Forces and surgical staffers at HumaniTV are the best in the business at delivering austere medical support globally,” stated HumaniTV Co-Founder, Jay Stanka.  “We are excited for the opportunity to partner with Exploration Nation to deliver supplies and service to the indigenous tribes on the Mosquito Coast.  Combining our mission to connect, train, equip and deploy individuals and institutions to save lives and impact communities with Exploration Nation’s exciting and unique approach to educating the youth of today with the science of tomorrow is just plain awesome!”

“The Special Forces and surgical staffers at HumaniTV are the best in the business at delivering austere medical support globally,” stated Enzoology Education CEO, Pete Monfre.  “We are honored to partner with the HumaniTV team to deliver supplies and service to the indigenous tribes on the Mosquito Coast.  Our approach to educating the youth of today with the science of tomorrow to positively impact the world, fits perfectly with HumaniTV’s mission to connect, train, equip and deploy individuals and institutions to save lives and impact communities.”

Enzoology produces a unique elementary and middle school video science program that features 11-14 year old hosts traveling the world performing scientific research. The program, Exploration Nation, is distributed nationally primarily to schools on-line.  Exploration Nation combines high quality, documentary video with complete lesson materials designed to make science engaging for students and easy for educators to teach.

During the 14 day mission, the young hosts of Exploration Nation will work with EARTH University, National Instruments and the HumaniTV team to assist in a variety of scientific expeditions leading up to delivering supplies and medical support to the Rama people.

Slated for March 23rd-April 5th, the program will broadcast live each day from the jungles of Central America. This broadcast will be made available on on the HumaniTV Medical (medical.humani.tv) & Kids (kids.humani.tv) channels, and to classrooms across the U.S. at www.ExplorationNation.com. “Beyond producing a series of lesson programs on the expedition, Enzoology Education hopes to connect tens of thousands of kids directly to their Rama counterparts.” says Enzoology CEO Pete Monfre. “The live broadcast is a great way to share the adventure with kids while putting the science in context with the realities of disparate culture and quality of life issues.”

The live production is expected to utilize a new portable technology from SpeedStream.tv. “It’s essentially a TV studio in a backpack.” says SpeedStream.tv’s founder Doug Watkins. “Our system can stream live over virtually any type of connection from wifi and satellite to 4G, 3G or whatever you can find where ever you are.”

One planned expedition entitled “The Last Shaman” focuses on understanding the ecosystem of the rain forest through the eyes of an indigenous Rama Shaman. The team will also be setting up sensors utilizing National Instruments myDAQ data acquisition system to collect a variety of data for analysis.
