Sue Vicory

Sue Vicory (www.SueVicory.com) is the President and founder of Heartland Films, Inc. She is a producer and director of inspirational films, currently working on her fourth – a feature documentary entitled “One.” Her films have aired on PBS and screened at film festivals, with her first award winning film, “Homelessness and the Power of One” raising $100Ks for needy shelters.
Sue is founder of Women Documentary Filmmakers, an international web site providing access, resources and visibility for women filmmakers globally. She has traveled extensively, only recently returning from South Africa with Phoenix based Partners in Action on a shoot for her forthcoming film “One.”
Sue serves on the National Advisory Council for the Institute of Leadership and Social Responsibility for Cottey College in Nevada, Missouri – an all women’s college. She is a past Director and Board Member for Kansas City Women in Film and TV, and is currently a member of Women in Film LA and the Alliance for Women Directors.
Mrs. Vicory has served as VP and CFO of her family’s 115 year old business, W.F. Norman Corp. since 1987. Her film “1898: The W.F. Norman Story” is available for viewing on YouTube.
Sue has a Masters Degree in Computer Resource Management and is also an Avid Editor. Sue and Jay, her husband of 35 years, have raised two creative daughters and live happily in Del Mar, California with their nine year old Golden Retriever, Kacy. Her life mission is to inspire others to be all that they are meant to be in their lifetimes.
